About me:
_{I'm Michael (Or Deku on the internet), a freelance illustrator and character designer. I have been drawing since I have been very young. I got my first commission at age 16 and never stopped. Though primarily a cartoonist, I've a strong philosophy of trying to draw anything and everything. From people to fantasy creatures and body horror to cute little guys, I'll do it all. I simply enjoy trying to capture the energy of a subject. Beyond that, I have an obsession with making my work come out clean in the final render but maintain self imposed deadlines through well defined work flow processes and time management.
Experience:
I have made an album cover, designed various characters, and done quite a few full illustrations for private clients. I have done hundreds private commissions over the years.
Looking For Work!
In another life I was an apartment maintenance manager. Although this has taught me highly valuable skills in teamwork, time management, and communication, it was never my passion. Art is, and I'd like more than anything to make it my full time gig in whatever form that looks like.
